A defibrillator has been installed at Little Angels Nursery in Dingwall, offering round-the-clock access to potentially life-saving equipment. The new device increases the number of publicly accessible AED points in the town, improving access to emergency equipment for the local community.

The defibrillator, a Mindray C1A purchased from London Hearts and housed in an external heated cabinet which can be access 24 hours a day, has been strategically placed outside the nursery entrance on Druimchat View to ensure easy access for nursery staff, parents, neighbouring businesses, and the general public should an emergency arise.

Little Angels Nursery led the fundraising, raising over £460 with support from families and the wider community, with Capstone Construction helping to complete the final fundraising total.

Lianne Anderson, from Little Angels Nursery, said:

“The children in our Jelly Beans room put on a Christmas concert to start our fundraising for the defibrillator and we were delighted when we heard Capstone Construction were able to contribute to our funds.  I think it’s really important to have the life saving equipment where we are as we have lots of families that visit us daily, and the Business Park is a busy place.  It’s important to us to have the defibrillator available for the local community”

Supported by local businesses, Capstone Construction installed its own defibrillator at its Henderson Road office in 2024 to help safeguard its workforce and support the surrounding community. The company also has defibrillators in place at its major development sites, including Global’s new headquarters at Inverness Campus.
