Capstone Construction were pleased to welcome over 20 students from the University of the Highlands and Islands to the 2,000-square-metre office building currently being built for Global at the Inverness Campus.
The visit provided an opportunity to see how a commercial development is managed on site and to gain a clearer understanding of how classroom learning translates into the working environment.
The tour was led by Brian Anderson, Project Manager at Capstone Construction, who provided an overview of the project and explained how work is coordinated throughout the build. Brian discussed the sequencing of trades, daily site operations and the importance of maintaining high health and safety standards at every stage.
Commenting on the visit, Brian said: “It’s important that young people get the opportunity to see what happens on site and understand how a project comes together. Experiences like this help broaden their knowledge of the industry and highlight the range of roles involved in delivering projects safely and efficiently.”
Capstone is proud to support the development of young people as they begin exploring careers within the construction industry, and we look forward to continuing to engage with students across the region.
We operate all over Scotland and in a range of trades.
