Construction is progressing rapidly at Global’s new Inverness Campus headquarters, and the building is now visibly taking shape on site. Appointed as principal contractor for our parent company’s new office, Capstone Construction has been working to an accelerated programme to bring this 2,000 square metre headquarters to life.
The structural steel frame is now fully in place, with metal decking installed to provide safe access across the first and second floors. This milestone allows our team to move forward with the upper floor decks and the ground floor slab, progressing steadily across the entire building footprint.
Ahead of the façade installation, which will give the building its final appearance, finalisation of the design for the structural framing systems is well underway, providing the support for the specialist facades systems. Civil works are progressing steadily, with core infrastructure, including drainage, ducting and significant surface water attenuation cells now complete. Focus turns to completion of the initial Civils works with finalisation of incoming utilities and early formation of the car park, to support site logistics.
Brian Anderson, Project Manager, Capstone Construction, commented: “This project is a real collaboration, with teams from across the Global portfolio working together. Our role as principal contractor, supported by the award-winning design team at Bracewell, Arthian’s advice on acoustics, noise and vibration, and lifting support from Global Port Services, allows us to keep the project on track.”
Supporting Global’s growth plans, the new headquarters will provide space for the business to expand both organically and through future acquisitions. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2026, with Global’s corporate services and teams from across the wider Global portfolio set to move into the new office.
We operate all over Scotland and in a range of trades.
